Ami Ami tastes great up to 6 weeks after opening. 🤯
There’s no reason not to. It does a better job of keeping oxygen out than corks. The BPA-free food-grade plastic we use has no impact on the wine flavor or aroma.
Boxed wine is a much more convenient, less expensive, and more environmentally friendly way to drink great wine.
No! The BPA-free food-grade plastic bag has no impact on the wine. If you tried the same wine from a bottle and from a box, you wouldn’t know the difference.
The cardboard box is 100% recyclable and can be put with your normal recycling. The bag unfortunately is not recyclable in the US at the moment.
Boxed wine reduces the carbon footprint of wine by over 50%!
Glass, in theory, is infinitely recyclable. However, in practice, only 33% of glass in the US actually is.
Glass bottles are made in huge furnaces that take a lot of energy to operate. And most manufacturers keep their furnaces running all year because of the time it takes to heat them to production temps.
Glass is also very heavy so transporting it takes a lot of energy. Since the majority of glass isn’t produced in the US, getting it here has a real impact.
We use corrugated cardboard with natural inks. It is easily recyclable and even when not, biodegrades within weeks.
Our bags are recyclable, BPA-free and food-grade. They also transport extremely efficiently due to their light weight and small volume when empty.
OUR WINE
Our wine is made 100% from grapes! If you are not allergic to grapes, you should be fine!
There’s a lot of discussion about Sulfites in wine. Using Sulfur is a part of the winemaking process and also is a natural bi-product of fermentation. You can read more about sulfites in wine by clicking here. But be rest assured, we use minimal sulfur in our production and our wines sit far below EU allowable volumes.
Each box of Ami Ami contains 2 bottles of wine! You can expect about 10 glasses from each box.
At a traditional co-op in the foothills of the Pyrenees Mountains in the south of France. We work with an 8th generation wine grower and other pioneers of sustainable and organic farming to help us make our delicious wines.
Because we’re obsessed with making the most delicious wines possible. By opening up our wines to being non varietal specific, it gives us more creative freedom to do this.
They are not certified organic but they are certified sustainable. Some of the vineyards we work with are farmed organically some certified and some not.
Organic certification focuses solely on the vineyard where our sustainability certification focuses on the bigger picture. It ensures that not only are the vineyards cared for but also the people who work them and the ecosystems surrounding them.
Yes!
We believe great vineyards make great wines. You will not find concentrates, coloring agents or added sugars in Ami Ami.
In 2007, the co-op where we make our wines was certified Protect Planet. This certification showcases a strong value system of responsible cultivation and production.

Send us a note and we will do our best to work some magic.
